Generating Traffic, a little more information

One of my previous post provides tips on generating/increasing traffic to your site. That post provides good information however I thought I would briefly touch on that subject once again, since its such an important piece for any Affiliate Marketer, especially a beginner. Plus, this post provides a few more links to where you can submit articles, that was not discussed in the previous post.

The biggest challenge with learning how to make a profit from affiliate marketing is generating the traffic. Write articles and submit them to article directories like EzineArticles.com, GoArticles.com and other top directories with links pointing back to your domain name and/or website. Additionally promoting your site’s URL offline is another viable option for fast money, but there are fewer niches and products that will be successful with offline promotion.

The real key to making a profit is to pick a well converting product that pays well, set up a website for it and drive as many eyeballs as you can to it. The more people you get through your affiliate link, the more money you will earn. While traffic generation can be tricky, especially for a beginner, the best course of action is to try generating traffic from as many different sources as possible. So try making a video or two and submit them to YouTube and/or Oneload. As discussed in a previous post, submit articles to various directories.

As noted in my previous post, submitting your blog to directories, such as Seachenginejournal, is extremely important so you can build links back to your site. Yahoo Answers is another valuable source for increasing traffic.

Find and use as many sources as you can. The more traffic the better.
